Held at the International Convention Centre, which accommodates 3 000 people, the event was a full house and featured a galaxy of stars that made the occasion truly memorable.
The concert took place on Saturday, starting promptly at noon and concluding at 10PM.
Eleana hosted an impressive array of performers, including Spirit of Praise, Everton Mlalazi, Takesure Zamar, Minister Micheal Mahendere, Doreen Chikuni, Lebo Sekgobela, Siphos Ncube, Heaven Mutambira, Sharon and Ellard Cherayi, FIG Worship Culture, and Blessing Jedthun.

Emerging talents like Siphos Ncube from Bulawayo and Heaven Mutambira based in the UK, captivated the audience as show openers.
Their performances set a vibrant tone for the day, demonstrating the depth of talent within the Zimbabwean community.
One stand-out moment was when Eleana’s daughter, Alisha, took to the stage with a performance of “Muri Mwari.” This song led to an impromptu sing-along, showcasing the familial connection and musical legacy that runs through the Makombe family.
As the concert progressed, John Makombe, Eleana’s husband, surprised the audience with a belated birthday cake for artistes Everton Mlalazi, Minister Micheal Mahendere, and Matt (SOP manager), whose birthdays fell in May.
The crowd joyfully joined in a rendition of “Happy Birthday,” adding a heart-warming touch to the event.
The highlight of the evening was a collaborative performance by Eleana and her Grateful team (Takesure Zamar, Minister Micheal Mahendere, The Cherayis and Blessing Jedthun), where artistes took turns singing their favourite hits together.
They performed a theme song that resonated with the audience, showcasing the unity and camaraderie among the performers.
The crowd particularly enjoyed their rendition of “Hakuna Zita seraJesu,” which left many cheering for more.
Eleana, dressed in a chic cream-ivory power suit, captivated the audience with her powerful vocals.
She performed hits like “Baba Mune Nyasha” and “Kana Jehovha Avhura Masuwo,” leading the crowd into a dancing frenzy that reflected the joy of the occasion.
Minister Ellard Cherayi, known for his infectious smile, also shone brightly, especially during the duet with his wife, Sharon, on “Fara Iwe,” a song that has gained popularity since 2024.
Their performance fostered a sense of love and unity among the Zimbabweans present.
Minister Micheal Mahendere and Takesure Zamar closed the concert with their energetic performances. Mahendere’s renditions of “Tangai Neni,” “Messiah,” and “Makomborero,” alongside Zamar’s heartfelt prayers for Zimbabwe, brought the audience to their feet.
Despite the late hour, attendees left feeling satisfied and uplifted.
The concert’s success was evident as fans travelled from various parts of the UK, including Ireland, Scotland, and Manchester, to partake in this vibrant celebration of Zimbabwean music.
According to National Arts Council of Zimbabwe chief executive Napoleon Nyanhi, who was the guest of honour, Eleana has significantly changed the face of Zimbabwean music on a global scale.
“By organising events like the Grateful Experience, she has created platforms for both established and emerging artistes to showcase their talents. “Through her efforts, Eleana has paved the way for collaborations and opportunities that were once limited, helping to elevate the profile of Zimbabwean music. Her influence extends beyond the stage, inspiring a new generation of artistes to pursue their dreams and embrace their cultural roots.”
The event also saw radio personality Becky K, comedian Chisale, Jesse Madigele facilitating the show as they flawlessly sailed through during their segment, while another radio star Noxy hosted the red carpet.
As the event concluded, Eleana announced plans for Grateful Experience 4.0, leaving attendees eager to learn which city would host the next concert.
