GREATEST FEMALE GOSPEL ARTIST TO PERFORM IN ZIM

SEVENTEEN-TIME Grammy Awards winner Cece Winans, who is the world’s most decorated and best selling female gospel artist, is set to perform at the Celebration Centre in Harare during a night of praise and worship.

The American gospel queen’s 17 Grammy Awards are the most such accolades ever won by a female gospel singer and she has also won 31 GMA Dove Awards, 16 Stellar Awards, Seven NAACP Awards and four Billboard Music Awards.

She was a close friend of Whitney Houston and performed at the superstar’s funeral.

Cece Winans has been inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Hall Of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

She is set to perform on August 26.

The line-up of other artists, who will perform on the same night, is yet to be announced.

The eventis being organised by Events by GEC who have built a reputation for delivering high-quality gospel experiences.

Part of the projects they delivered include the Kingdom World Tour (featuring Maverick City Music) and February’s Young and Chosen Tour with Limoblaze and Joe L Barnes.

“Celebrate Mother’s Day with an incredible gift of worship!

“With a mix of international star power and homegrown talent, the Omemma Tour is poised to be one of Zimbabwe’s most uplifting gospel events of the year.”

The last show, which was hosted by Pastor Lincolyn Kapswara, was a huge success despite the rains.
