during the night.

Shayawabaya and Chakaambechi were not asked to plead to a charge of unlawful entry and theft when they appeared before Mr Donald Ndirowei on Tuesday. They were remanded to May 8 on US$100 bail apiece. Appearing for the State, Miss Junior Mugebe told the court that on April 3, Shayawabaya and Chakaambechi connived with their colleague and hatched a plan to steal from GD Eletronix.

It is the State’s case that the trio gained entry into the shop after breaking a window. The State alleges that they stole mobile phones worth US$28 930. The company’s general manager Mr Gibson Sibanda discovered the offence the following morning and reported the crime to the police leading to the arrest of the duo.
