ZIMBABWE Golf Association team captain Liberty Gumisa is confident that they will do well at this year’s Region Five golf tournament in Kitwe, Zambia, next week.
The tournament, formerly the Zone VI championships, will see more than 12 countries converging in Kitwe from Tuesday to Friday next week.
The Zimbabwe amateur golf team is scheduled to leave the country tomorrow morning and is made up of the top eight leading amateurs on the order of merit.
Midlands’ top amateur Gumira, who will lead the team, said they are prepared for the event.
“I think we have done it before and we will do it again as we now have two strong teams. The guys have been practicing a lot and everyone would like a positive results.”
