River of Life senior pastor Bothwell Phiri is back in the headlines — and not for a fiery sermon.
The 57-year-old pastor, who earlier this year mistakenly shot his own son in a bizarre Kumalo incident, is now facing fraud charges after allegedly conspiring to illegally sell a family home in Harare.
This time, the preacher teamed up with his father-in-law, Peter Brian Juma, in what authorities say was a shady house deal gone holy wrong.
The not-so-divine duo was hauled before the courts and granted US$100 bail each, pending their next date with justice.
