The former Division Two outfit Skylink have changed their name to StarBill FC after their franchise was bought by Billy Shereni of Shereni Transport and Rickson Zenda of Startrack Freight.
The merger with Shereni has seen the senior team change the name from Startrack to StarBill.
The team has so far lost a game against Flame Lilly and drawn against Powermaster.
StarBill managing director Zenda believes they are in the right direction considering that they had some difficult assignments.
“The game against Gunners will be an interesting one as our policies are almost the same – junior policy development.
“Our mission is to develop and scout for players who do not have much exposure.
“Our main aim is to give the emerging boys a chance to showcase their talent so we added a few senior players to add value to the team.
“The dream really was to give the boys a favourable platform to play competitively and it is the only way they can get better as football players in the long term and we are happy that the First Division is the correct forum,” Zenda said.
StarBill FC had a reputation of winning the Startrack Freight Under-20 Championship twice beating favourites such as Dynamos, CAPS United DC Academy among several other top Under-20 teams.
The team has strong developmental sides ranging from Under-14, Under-16, Under-18 and Under-20s.
In another development, former Premiership side Blue Rangers have changed their name to Galaxy FC.
