Guruve serial killer faces eight counts of murder

Guruve serial killer Anymore Zvitsva who had terrorised the community for a year appeared in a Harare court on Monday, accused of killing 18 people.

Zvitsva (33) is charged with eight counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder and two counts of rape.

Zvitsva who is under heavy police guard at a local hospital was remanded in custody to January 19 by Harare provincial magistrate Mr Vakayi Chikwekwe.

Some of the murders were treated as single counts.
