The penultimate match pitted Vumbachikwe Mine against Jessie Mine. Vumbachikwe won 35-28.
The last match saw Beitbridge side Mighty Stars coming all the way to have their shine extinguished by Shining Stars who won 31-21.
Gwanda High School, who are the 11th team in the league did not play.
Speaking after the matches Blanket Mine coach John Dube who is also the brains behind the launch of the league was full of praise for all the teams that participated and saluted the commitment the women from Gwanda, Esigodini and Beitbridge showed to their sport and the level of competition that they exhibited.
“In all honesty I did not expect our first games to be as explosive and competitive as they were but the ladies who took to the field showed a high level of commitment and professionalism as they put a lot of energy in the matches and the atmosphere was just unbelievable,” he said.
Dube was positive that the league was going to grow in a short period of time.
He urged other teams who still want to join to come forward as there was still room for expanding the league.
