A star-studded line-up of Zimdancehall heavyweights – Freeman, Killer T, Enzo Ishall, Master H, Hulengende and Malloti, is set to perform at an Independence Day bash that has been lined up in Gweru on April 18.

The rare gathering of top-tier artistes has generated excitement across social media, with fans describing the show as one of the most anticipated events on the province’s entertainment calendar.

Music promoter Mbazo Entertainment said preparations are complete for what is expected to be a high-energy night of music and celebration in the Midlands capital.
“It’s going to be a big, high-energy night for music lovers in Gweru. The response from fans in Gweru and neighbouring towns has been overwhelming,” said the promoter.

According to organisers, the decision to stage the show on Independence Day is aimed at adding entertainment value to national celebrations and giving fans a memorable experience.
“Our goal was to make Independence Day more joyful and unforgettable for the people of Gweru. The line-up is quite extensive, and bringing all these artistes together for one night was not easy.”

Meanwhile, Jah Prayzah is also billed to perform on the same day in Kwekwe. His show comes amid mixed social media reactions about his recent crowd-pulling appeal, following a low turnout at his Easter performance at the Harare International Conference Centre, which sparked debate online.
