Gweru City Council collaborates with private developers to upgrade Ascot Stadium for premier league matches

GWERU City Council (GCC) has engaged private developers to upgrade Ascot Stadium so that premier league matches can be played at the venue.

In an interview, Mayor Councillor Martin Chivhoko said the council has engaged partners to refurbish Ascot Stadium to match Zifa standards.

“We hope that this year we will see teams playing on our grounds. This is also another revenue source which we hope to utilise,” he said.
