Habane joins Zifa

ESIGODINI’S Habane Sharks Football Club have affiliated to the Zifa Matabeleland South province.
They will be officially launched in Esigodini tomorrow.Baron Dube, the president of Habane Sharks said registering the team was a big achievement as talent from Esigodini will be exposed.

“Registering the team for the Matabeleland Division Two league is a big achievement for the team and the community,” said Dube.

He said they will be holding a party to celebrate their promotion from a social football club to competitive team.

“We will be celebrating our big achievement at the business centre with the Esigodini community who have been very supportive ever since we started playing as a social club,” said Dube.

Habane Sharks secretary-general Itai Magwegwe said he was confident that with the calibre of players and support the team is enjoying from the community, it will not be long before they join the elite league.

“We have brilliant players and with the support we are getting from the community, I am confident that we can be promoted to Division One and then Premier League in the next coming years,” said Magwegwe.

He invited members of the community to join the club in its celebrations tomorrow.

“We are inviting  everyone to join us as we clebrate this milestone achievement,” he said.

Magwegwe said they will take the opportunity to also launch the team’s new football kit and officially appoint a coach who will lead the team next season,” he said.
