Hailstorm leaves a trail of destruction in Muzarabani

Daniel Chigunwe Herald Correspondent
At least 90 homesteads were destroyed by a hailstorm in Muzarabani’s Chiwenga village.

District information officer Mr Godfrey Chireru said food, clothes, furniture and household utensils were destroyed and carried away by the heavy rains.

“At Keche Primary School, teachers’ houses and classroom blocks were destroyed and had their roofs blown away and some teachers and learners were injured in the process.

“A number of villagers whose houses were affected were also injured in the process and giving assistance to the affected member remains a priority and an emergency at this hour since several families have been left destitute,” said Chireru
