Handball gets ready for Premier League

THE Zimbabwe Handball Federation is gearing up for their inaugural Premier League to start this weekend in Harare. The league will see different clubs competing in the Northern and Southern Regions. The Northern Region is made up of Harare, Mashonaland East, Mashonaland Central, Manicaland and Mashonaland West while Midlands, Matabeleland North, Masvingo, Matabeleland South and Bulawayo are in the Southern Region.

So far there are 12 clubs that have confirmed their participation in the Northern Region matches set for Saturday at Houghton Park School while action in the Southern Region gets underway on on April 5 and they are yet to confirm the total number of clubs to compete.

ZHF president Amon Madzvamuse yesterday said everything was in place for the league to start and he will officially open the league during Saturday’s games.
