A 21-YEAR-OLD Shamva man has been locked up after allegedly indecently assaulting a 10-year-old girl.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), Richmore Kunditsangira appeared before the Shamva Magistrates’ Court facing charges of indecent assault.

On 2 October 2025, at Tupperary, Shamva, the little girl was on an errand for her mother when the suspect reportedly approached and fondled her buttocks.
“The complainant reported the matter to her mother, who then reported it to Shamva Police Station,” said the NPAZ in a statement. “The accused was arrested and appeared before the Shamva Magistrates’ Court.”

Kunditsangira has been remanded in custody until 20 October 2025, pending trial.
The NPAZ stressed that child protection is everyone’s responsibility. “Every child deserves protection from sexual abuse. The courts will not hesitate to hold offenders accountable,” read the statement.
