Harare City still engaging on illegal vending

THE City of Harare said consultations within council and with Government on the removal of illegal vendors and dealing with night vending are ongoing.

This follows sentiments by Presidential Affairs and Devolution Permanent Secretary, Engineer Tafadzwa Muguti, at a strategic meeting between Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan Province, Senator Charles Tawengwa and Harare City Council, Chitungwiza Municipality, Ruwa and Epworth Local Boards last week, where he suggested there should not be any illegal vending in Harare, Chitungwiza, Ruwa and Epworth and night vending in Harare.

City of Harare spokesperson, Mr Stanley Gama said the picture will be clearer towards the end of this week.

“Consultations are ongoing but the picture will be clearer end of this week,” he said.
