An 86-year-old Glen Norah resident, William Dunduru, who was diagnosed with prostate hyperplasia, is appealing for financial assistance to cover medical expenses for surgery.

Mr Dunduru has been living with the condition for over 10 years and now requires further medical procedures before he can undergo surgery.

According to his medical records, several pre-operation tests are required, including blood tests, a chest X-ray and an ECG.

While his medical aid is assisting with some of the costs, there is a shortfall of US$4 015 which must be cleared before doctors can schedule the operation.

Due to the condition, Mr Dunduru currently relies on a catheter, which must be replaced every month, adding to his ongoing medical challenges.

Mr Dunduru lives alone in Glen Norah, Harare, after his wife passed away. With no stable support to help meet the medical expenses, he is now appealing to well-wishers and members of the public for assistance so he can undergo the necessary tests and secure a surgery date.

Anyone willing to assist can contact Mr Dunduru directly on 0715 501 797 or 0775 912 028.
