Harare is ready to host the 44th Ordinary Southern African Development Community (SADC) Summit of heads of State and Government slated for August 18 this year.
This significant event will provide a crucial platform for shaping the region’s future through policy direction and control.
The summit will be running under the theme, “Promoting innovation to unlock opportunities for sustained economic growth and development towards an Industrialised SADC.
In a statement, Harare City Council said the summit’s theme aligns perfectly with Harare’s ambition to become the industrial hub of the region.
“We are fully prepared to welcome heads of State, Government ministers, regional leaders and delegates to a world-class experience,” read the statement.
“Our tourism industry, including hotels, restaurants, transportation and hospitality professionals, is committed to ensuring a seamless event. With ample accommodations available, we can comfortably host all attendees.
“As the Sunshine City, renowned for arts, innovation and legendary Zimbabwean hospitality, we are excited to showcase the best of Harare on this important stage.”
