THE highly anticipated two-day Harare Schools Expo is set to return for its third annual edition from September 25 to 26, 2026, at the expansive Belgravia Sports Club.
Organised by the Zimbabwe Educational Institutions Network (ZEIN), this year’s edition promises to provide an even bigger platform for parents, students, schools and education professionals to connect and explore the future of education in Zimbabwe.
Since its inception in 2024, the expo has cemented its status as a key event on the country’s educational calendar.
What began as a modest gathering at Longcheng Plaza in 2024 has grown into a vital marketplace of ideas, opportunities and partnerships.
The inaugural event introduced a unique concept to the public, while the second edition, staged at Joina City Mall in 2025, built on that foundation.
This year’s move to Belgravia Sports Club marks a significant step forward. The venue offers ample space for a larger number of exhibitors and an environment that encourages free exchange and deeper engagement between education providers and the communities they serve.
Central to ZEIN’s mission is the belief that knowledge is transformative. When parents and learners have access to clear, accurate and comprehensive information, they are better equipped to make choices that align with their aspirations and future goals.
ZEIN chairman and Zimbabwe Open University Deputy Registrar for Administration, Mr Daniel Mrewa, reflected on the journey since the first expo in 2024, noting the positive response from both exhibitors and attendees.
“This is about more than just bringing people together under one roof,” Mr Mrewa explained.
“We are building a space where families can walk in with questions and leave with answers. Parents want to understand what schools offer, how programmes differ and which environment best suits their children’s capabilities and aspirations. Schools, in turn, need a platform to tell their educational story directly. The Harare Schools Expo makes that possible.”
He stressed that the third edition is not about attracting larger numbers, but about deepening the event’s impact.
“Our goal is for every visitor to leave with something tangible, a new perspective on education, a meaningful conversation with a school, or a clearer roadmap for their child’s academic future.
“We want this to be more than just an event that people pass through,” he said. “We want it to be an experience people remember.” Educational institutions spanning early childhood development, primary, secondary and tertiary levels are expected to participate.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet educators face to face, explore extracurricular activities and gain insights into boarding facilities, career pathways and scholarship opportunities.
With its new venue, growing reputation and commitment to excellence, the third Harare Schools Expo is poised to set a new benchmark for educational engagement in Zimbabwe.
