According to a letter from Zifa, Hardbody were given until the end of the day yesterday.
Part of the writ seen by this correspondent read; “the cost of the arbitration hearing in the Hardbody versus Tripple B case is $7 000.
“Please deposit in the bank and furnish this office with a proof of deposit by end of day.”
Hardbody chairman, Patrick Chikwanda, confirmed receipt of the letter which was only received at midday on Friday.
Coincidentally the letter did not bear Friday’s date. “We received such a letter on Friday and as a club we will make a decision whether to pay or not but we have been advised to pay,” said Chikwanda.
Tripple B, the appellant, paid $7 000 last Wednesday. The matter is likely to delay the Premier Soccer League and Central Soccer League kick off.
All soccer appeal processes have been exhausted and it is now set to be heard by the Much Masunda- chaired Commercial Arbitration Centre.
According to the Arbitration Act, parties involved in a case referred to the Commercial Arbitration Centre share the costs leaving both Hardbody and Tripple B sharing the $14 000 bill.
The Beitbridge outfit is contesting the Zifa Appeals Committee’s restoration of Hardbody’s 42 points docked by the Reginald Chidawanyika disciplinary committee over the use of Tatenda Chingarah “without a reverse international clearance certificate.”
