FRESH from winning the Tanzania Premier League title with perennial champions Young Africans, Warriors international Prince Dube has joined domestic Premiership championship aspirants Hardrock.

In the latest show of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League’s growing pulling power, Dube was unveiled by the Kwekwe top-flight debutants in the Midlands town yesterday.

Dube becomes the second major Hardrock signing in as many days since the mid-season transfer window opened on Wednesday.

Hardrock also announced the capture of Zimbabwe defender Gerald Takwara’s signature, luring the centre back from Libya.

The 28-year-old Bulawayo-born forward Dube landed at Chahwanda Stadium yesterday afternoon.

He is expected to partner Washington Navaya in attack and will replace Zambian Andrew Phiri, who left last month.

Dube arrives with strong regional pedigree.

He has played for local giants Highlanders, Azam FC in Tanzania, SuperSport United in South Africa.

His contract with Young Africans reportedly ended on June 30.

Dube, a key member of the Warriors attack, is now set to lead the line in Hardrock’s audacious bid to match Scottland’s record and win the championship on their debut season.

They currently sit in second place and five points behind Scottland.

Hardrock are reshaping their squad.

They have also signed Malawian right-back McDonald Rameck from Silver Strikers.

The arrival of the Malawian takes their foreign and international contingent to five adding to the Eswatini duo of Yeki Khumalo and Mavuso Dlamini and Takwara.

“Dube’s arrival gives coach Kelvin Kaindu a proven goal-getter to lead the line,” a club source told Zimpappers Sports Hub.

“Navaya’s hold-up play should create space for him.”

Hardrock face a tough test of their pedigree on Sunday when they host third-placed Premiership giants CAPS United at Chahwanda, looking to stay within touching distance of Scottland.
