THRIVING City of Kings author Njabulo Moyo has sold over 500 copies of his inspirational book, Self Starters that was launched towards the end of last year.
Not only Zimbabweans have appreciated Moyo’s motivational literature work, but people from countries like UK and Canada have purchased the book online. It’s no surprise historian Haroon Rashid compared Moyo to the former US president Barack Obama for his creativity and passion for social activism in the quest for change.
“I’m astounded that people appreciate my work. We are living in a time that all things are possible, where by you might have come through difficulties and misfortunes of not being with both or any of your biological parents in your life to help guide you through the most challenging times in your life. People need to trust their abilities to achieve greater heights in the future,” he said.
Moyo said the book was still on demand from different countries.
“There are huge orders from United States. The book is bringing the world to Bulawayo and different people outside Zimbabwe have phoned telling me that I was a talented writer. However, the point is Bulawayo is full of talents that can take their experience to the world to see and admire. The book is $10 and is available to everyone,” he said.
Moyo also said the book had also helped create relationships with international superstars who are keen to work with him.
Launched in Techvillage, Bulawayo, the book is based on motivational aspects for people to realise that they are the greatest investors of their lives.
Moyo dedicated the book to every lover of literature and to people who have helped him in his career.
“Many people will not walk with you until they realise the value of your footprints. I dedicate this book to every soul that has ever walked with me physical and spiritually. The road may be thorny and unpleasant but the desire is to walk on it until new avenues are created. We exist to make the future better for generations to come. If you have been a part of my life, allow me through this book to remain in your life and story,” he said.
