HAZ names junior squads for Namibia tour

THE Hockey Association of Zimbabwe (HAZ) has named the Under-16 and Under-18 girls teams that will represent the country in the upcoming tour of Namibia.

Both teams will travel to the south west African country early next month with the boys’ team that was released last week.

The tour is scheduled for July 6-8 and the matches will be played at the Windhoek High School, Davin Astro Turf pitch, in Windhoek Namibia.

The girls’ team selection trials took place over the weekend at the Inter-provincial Tournament at St John’s Educational Trust Astro Turf in Harare.

Confirmation of the tour came soon after HAZ released their squad on Tuesday evening.

Both squads are made up of 18 players.
