A MISSING “mhoro” has landed a Nyadzonya man in deep trouble after police say a simple greeting dispute ended in a shocking murder.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest of Jelous Musasa (35) following a fatal domestic drama.
“The ZRP confirms the arrest of Jelous Musasa (35) in connection with a murder case which occurred on 16/12/25 at Village 7D1, Nyadzonya, Nyazura,” said Comm Nyathi.

He said Musasa accused his wife of committing the ‘cardinal offence’ in the home by failing to greet him.
“The suspect reportedly struck his wife, Monica Tabvuroona (30) all over the body with a log after accusing her of failing to greet him,” Comm Nyathi said.

The heavy-handed reminder about manners turned into a fatal beating.
“The victim sustained severe head injuries and succumbed to the injuries,” Comm Nyathi said.

He urged couples to resolve domestic disputes peacefully and keep logs where they belong, in the fire
