In a demonstration of their commitment to promoting financial literacy and empowering young journalists, Zimnat and Sanlam have partnered to send two young journalists from The Herald, Enacy Mapakame and Tapiwanashe Mangwiro, to a week long Sanlam Summer School for Financial Journalism training in Johanesburg, South Africa from October 22 to 27, 2023.
The training comes as Zimnat and Sanlam further showcase the strength of their association, particularly at a time when the later recently announced a new joint venture with Allianz to further reinforce its position as the largest non-banking financial service group in Africa.
The Sanlam Summer School for Financial Journalism is a prestigious programme that equips journalists with the skills and knowledge necessary to report accurately and effectively on financial matters. The programme covers a wide range of topics, including financial markets, economics, and corporate finance.
Mapakame and Mangwiro were selected for the training based on their demonstrated commitment to financial journalism and their potential to make a significant contribution to the field.
