HERENTALS QUEENS will look to benefit from utility player, Alice Moyo’s experience when they face Zambian giants Green Buffaloes next month.

The Students were on Wednesday drawn in the same group as the former regional champions in the CAF Women’s Champions League Cosafa zonal play-offs to be staged at Mpira Stadium, Blantyre, Malawi between August 15-24.

Herentals Queens star Moyo spent the entire season at Green Buffaloes last year together with Faith Drive Academy pair of Catherine Gwangwara and Bethel Kondo. And the Simbarashe Dedza girls will be hoping to get some notes on how Green Buffaloes play from Moyo.

The Mighty Warriors player said she will be sharing some tips with her teammates on Green Buffaloes.

“I am very excited as a player to be able to face my former team at this level of competition,” said Moyo.

“I didn’t exactly get to enjoy my stay there because I was almost always out due to injuries. But I do remember that the team (Green Buffaloes) is very strong and they have a solid playing philosophy. “They are very tough but I believe we are equally good. So we will get to Malawi knowing that we have a huge task to work on. “It’s not going to be easy but we have the arsenal at Herentals to do the job.” With Cosafa already touting Group A as the toughest of the two pools, Moyo also views it as such.

Besides Green Buffaloes, the Zimbabwean champions who will be participating in this competition for the first time will meet fellow debutants in South Africa’s University of Western Cape.
