Harare International Festival of Arts have officially launched May 1 as their Golden Pilsener Day as preparations for the week-long fête slated for April 28-May 3 intensify.Speaking at a Press conference, Delta Beverages marketing manager Priscilla Murambinda said they were excited about their 16-year involvement with Hifa.
“Golden Pilsener takes pride in 2015 in supporting arts and culture,” said Murambinda.
She spoke of the prestigious award that the Golden Pilsener brand recently obtained and said May 1 was an opportunity to show their expertise at Hifa
“I’m excited to advise that Golden Pilsener won a gold award in Switzerland that we were only notified of last week. This is assurance that the product tested and stands for quality. I invite you all to help us celebrate the accolade that coincides with this prestigious event,” she said.
She invited art enthusiasts to celebrate with arts legends who she said had a thirst for success.
Chairman of Hifa Muchadeyi Masunda and executive director Maria Wilson echoed Murambinda’s sentiments.
“We are working to make something fabulous in the country that we care about. This festival’s development of arts and culture brings together people in a joyful environment like Golden Pilsener,” said Wilson.
Meanwhile, all is set for Hifa that has since announced a diverse programme that will see different artistes taking centre stage in Harare.
Mali legend, Salif Keita will be the main act at the festival.
