High Court wants Canadile financial records

This came out during the on-going fraud trial of businessman Lovemore Kurotwi and former Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation boss Dominic Mubaiwa.
Trial judge Justice Chinembiri Bhunu on Wednesday said the financial records were relevant considering that one of the State witnesses, Mr Simbisai Munemo, sought to rely on them in giving evidence.
Mr Munemo, a finance executive with Marange Resources, was formerly employed by Canadile as finance manager.
Defence lawyers Mrs Beatrice Mtetwa and Advocate Lewis Uriri quickly objected to reference to an extract from the financial records saying they needed to be furnished with the relevant full financial records for the company.
Mr Munemo undertook to bring the financial records by Monday before he continues giving evidence in the fraud trial.
Adv Uriri is representing Mubaiwa, while Mrs Mtetwa is appearing for Kurotwi.
