HIGH-RIDING FC Platinum believe they have struck the right rhythm for them to collect maximum points against Hwange in a Castle Lager Premiership tie at Mandava this afternoon.
The Zvishavane side have become the dark horses in the championship race after a brilliant run.
“We know that they have been a thorn in our flesh for us at home,” said FC Platinum assistant coach Patrick Mandizha.
“We respect Hwange, just like any other team in the Premiership, but we will not be donating points to them.
“We have always been strong in the second round and it’s unfortunate (for them) that they are coming tomorrow (today) when we have picked our form.”
Brian “Bhidho” Muzondiwa has been impressive upfront for Norman Mapeza and his men after a tough start to life at the country’s richest football club.
“Our guys are confident and that alone will deliver the team to greater heights,” said Mandizha.
“The departure of key players from our team is blessing in disguise. The guys who remained are performing well as they have been given an opportunity to showcase their skills.
“I am appealing to fans to come in their numbers and support the team eve when the chips are down.
“They must keep on rallying behind the team.
“Football is there to unite people and not to create wars.”
FC Platinum lost Wisdom Mutasa, Walter Musona, Aaron Katebe, Obrey Chirwa, Thabani Kamusoko and Donald Ngoma in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, FC Platinum’s cheerleader, Tsitsi Clemence Kambuve, who died on Tuesday, was buried on Thursday in Kwekwe.
