Highlanders acquire swipe machines

swipe machines

HIGHLANDERS have decided to move along with technology by acquiring swipe machines for use by their members and patrons for ease of doing business in view of the prevailing cash crunch in the country.

The machines will enable the Bulawayo giants’ supporters to purchase membership cards, club regalia as well as drinks at the club house.

“Obviously we are sponsored by BancABC and we will make overtures for them to supply us with swipe machines. They have made machines available although we haven’t received them yet.  We have been informed that our order has been met and we should have the machines installed by next week.  If we  get them by this weekend the better,” said club executive officer Nhlanhla Dube.

There have been calls for the club to embrace technology and install swipe machines at its offices and club house and the club seems to have heeded the call.

A number of patrons have often left the club house in a huff after failing to buy their favourite drinks because the club had no swipe machines like most bars in the city.  The lack of the machines deprived the club of potential revenue. — @skhumoyo2000
