HIGHLANDERS Football Club fans will get an opportunity to see how their team will line up when Bosso face newly promoted Sheasham in a friendly match at Ascot Stadium in Gweru on Saturday.
Yesterday, Highlanders announced that they are making the short trip to Gweru.
“We’re travelling to Gweru this Saturday for a: “Welcome to the League friendly match” against Sheasham FC,” posted Highlanders yesterday.
Highlanders have been preparing for the 2023 season since January when coach Baltemar Brito and his assistant Antonio Torres arrived from Portugal.
Bosso have so far signed striker Calvin Chigonero on loan from Talen Vision, recalled goalkeeper Reward Muza who had been sent to Bulawayo City to get the much-needed game time, promoted Gillian Nyathi from Bosso90 and signed Bulawayo City captain Melikhaya Ncube.
From last season’s squad, Bosso have parted ways with Nqobizitha Masuku, Bukhosi Sibanda, Toto Banda and Muziwakhe Dlamini.
Sheasham, under the mentorship of the experienced John Nyikadzino have so far played three matches at Ascot. The Construction Boys lost 1-0 to Dynamos before they faced Black Rhinos twice last Saturday. In the first match, Sheasham defeated the rebuilding Rhinos 1-0 before the two teams played out a 1-1 draw. – @Mdawini_29
