Highlanders fans are showing that their love for football goes beyond the pitch! The Cowdray Park Supporters Chapter has launched a clean-up campaign at the Cowdray Park terminus ahead of the highly anticipated Battle of Zimbabwe Part Two against Dynamos this Sunday.
The initiative kicks off Sunday morning from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM and is aimed at not only supporting Highlanders FC but also giving back to the community and promoting environmental awareness.
“As Highlanders Cowdray Park Chapter, we have decided to do a clean-up exercise at Cowdray Park terminus ahead of the Battle of Zimbabwe Part Two,” said Precious Mathema, Vice Chairperson of the chapter.
Mathema explained that the clean-up forms part of a broader mission to market the Highlanders FC brand while encouraging local residents to take pride in their surroundings.
“This is not going to be a one-time event but an ongoing process that will continue even after the Highlanders and Dynamos game,” she added.
The chapter is urging members of the public and local media to join the effort, proving that football fandom can be a powerful force for positive change in the community.
Fans say the clean-up is the perfect way to kick off match day, ensuring Cowdray Park is spotless before the city’s fiercest football rivalry unfolds.
