Highlanders is a national institution, says Prof Ncube

Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Professor Mthuli Ncube has joined the nation in mourning the deaths of Highlanders Football Club chairman and Premier Soccer League (PSL) vice-chairman Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, vice-chairman Sifiso “Fiso” Siziba and treasurer Nkani Khoza, describing Highlanders as a national institution whose loss is being felt across the country.

Speaking on Friday, Professor Ncube said Zimbabwe was united in grief following the tragic road traffic accident that claimed the lives of the three Bosso executives.

“We are really sorry on this loss. We are all in mourning. Highlanders is a national institution,” said Professor Ncube.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Highlanders Football Club family and the wider football fraternity, saying the three administrators had made an immense contribution to the growth of the club and Zimbabwean football.
