A STAR-STUDDED musical extravaganza featuring some of Zimbabwe’s top local artistes has been lined up for October 31 as part of Highlanders’ centenary celebrations.
The event is expected to bring together the Highlanders family and music lovers for one of the major highlights of Bosso’s year-long celebrations.
Event organiser and 3D director Mr Mduduzi Mdlongwa said the event would give the Highlanders family an opportunity to celebrate the club’s 100-year journey.
“We are Highlanders, it’s us and we need to celebrate our 100 years as abanikazi beBosso. October 31 will not be an ordinary day,” said Mr Mdlongwa.
He said Highlanders was an institution that deserved a major celebration as it reached the historic milestone.
“Bosso was, is and remains an institution that deserves a massive celebration in its centenary year,” he said.
Highlanders centenary entertainment committee member and celebrated radio personality Mr Ezra Sibanda said the event was not only for Bosso supporters, but all football lovers.
“This will be a big day for the Highlanders family. We are calling upon everyone, including our greatest adversaries, Dynamos, to come on board and celebrate with us.
“The musical cast is massive,” said Mr Sibanda during a press briefing held at the Highlanders Club House.
The event forms part of a packed programme marking Highlanders’ 100th anniversary, with the club’s rich history, culture and contribution to Zimbabwean football expected to take centre stage.
Organisers said further details on the artistes and the programme would be unveiled as preparations gather momentum.
