HIGHLANDERS Football Club has paid its final respects to the club benefactor, businessman Wicknell Chivayo, who died last week in Helicopter crash alongside his wife, Lucy Muteke-Chivayo, and three others.
The Bulawayo giants visited the Chivayo family to pay their respects and the prominent businessman and philanthropist for the significant contributions he has made to the club.
In a post on its Facebook page, Highlanders said Chivayo’s generosity and contribution to the club would remain part of its history.
“Today, Highlanders FC paid its final respects to our late Club Benefactor, Wicknell Chivayo,” said the club.
“His generosity, support and contribution to the Highlanders family will forever be remembered and appreciated.
“Your contribution to Bosso will not be forgotten. Rest in Peace Sir Wicknell.”
