Worshipping the dead and Idolatry
Deuteronomy 18:9-13
“When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. (NKJV)
WORSHIPPING the dead is not acceptable because it attracts demons. A ghost is not a person that has come back to life; it is in fact a demon that has taken the shape of that person that has died.
Building Forbidden Spiritual Gates
Gates in the spirit represent places of power and entrance points. They are places of spiritual traffic that control the to-and-fro movement of certain spiritual stuff. Gates are spiritual avenues where spiritual traffic travels. Pornography, masturbation, adultery, alcohol and drugs are old spiritual avenues that must never be revived once you have been delivered from them.
Joshua 6:26
Then Joshua charged them at that time, saying, “Cursed be the man before the LORD who rises up and builds this city Jericho; he shall lay its foundation with his firstborn, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates.” (NKJV)
There are some gates in the spirit that God does not want built or opened. Going against such instructions attracts curses upon one’s life. Always heed the Word of God and His instructions.
1 Kings 16:34
In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation with Abiram his firstborn, and with his youngest son Segub he set up its gates, according to the word of the LORD, which He had spoken through Joshua the son of Nun. (NKJV)
