His Majesty

Walking in Spirit

Colossians 1:16-17 NKJV

“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.”

Sometimes it is very difficult to comprehend the majesty of God, to get to a point where you believe He is real and He is there. We tend to believe what we can see; faith is based on the actions or things that come alive in our lives.

Within this journey that is life, we are often confounded by all sorts of things that dissuade us from believing. The quickest way to lose faith is when one is confronted by circumstances that they cannot quite understand.

Scenes that are unscripted come up unexpectedly and totally throw us off course. In these moments of doubt, questions tend to rise as to whether He is really there and why these things are happening.

Bereavements, financial difficulties, relationship problems and just life in general are some of the difficulties we go through that begin to cast so much doubt in our minds as to His existence.

Today, I would like you to reflect on the wonderful handiwork that is this world, the things we take for granted but yet cannot explain. The infinity of the skies outside, the endless space that is beyond what anyone has ever seen, the stars that shine, whose home and origins no one can properly explain, the sun and its radiance, it’s never ending glare, from generation to generation.

The grass and where it originates from, and how picturesque it looks amongst the veld. The contrast of the colours, the flowers and the plants that make this tapestry that only a very gifted artist could ever imagine and put together. Take a look at the people in your home, the amazing differences that make up all the characters, the warmth, the laughter and the ability to cry. The human features that we take for granted; the ability to smell, to see, to hear, to taste.

These amazing experiences that make you who you are. Today, think about this and more, think about the endless wonder that is God and His amazing ability to do the impossible.

He is God, he is the author and finisher of everything. Remember He can do more and nothing, absolutely nothing, is impossible with Him.

Be blessed.
