TRAP artist, Holic, has returned to the musical scene as a solo artist, three months after his departure from the group, Trap Culture Xw.
This follows his release of a song dubbed ‘Threat Muma Streets’.
In an interview, Holic said his departure from the group came at a time when he wanted to experience growth as an artist and solidify his position in the industry.
Holic said he will be releasing another song dubbed ‘Girlfriend’ and is working on a duet with Golden Sceptre set to be released later this month.
He said he will be releasing his first solo album early next year.
“As an artist, there is a time when you need to experience growth on your own as working in the group can make you relax and forget that you also have your own personal plans.
“It was not an easy decision to make because I’ve been with Trap Culture Xw since the start of my career and we won various local accolades together but it’s time to move on and there is no bad blood.
“For the rest of the year, I will be releasing singles to sample my position in the industry and I will be dropping a duet mid-October.
“I’m also working on my album ‘Diary of Holic 2’ which will be my first project as a solo artist.
“The recording is at an advanced stage and I want to solidify my place in the industry, therefore, I’m taking my time sampling various sounds so as to separate myself from who I was when I was with Trap Culture Xw,” said Holic.
