Home Affairs Minister Kazembe set to commission refurbished Mphoengs Border Post

THE Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Kazembe Kazembe, is expected to officially open the newly refurbished Mphoengs Border Post in Mangwe District, Matabeleland South Province.

The development follows extensive upgrading works at the border facility, with the previous infrastructure having become inadequate and no longer conducive for efficient operations.

Authorities say the refurbishment is part of broader efforts to modernise border posts and improve service delivery, while also easing congestion at the nearby Plumtree Border Post.

Mphoengs Border Post serves as a key gateway into Botswana and is frequently used by travellers heading to Botswana, South Africa and beyond.

More details to follow.
