Simeion Mastinze (21) and Whyson Aston Phiri (23) of Sheckleton Mine have since appeared before a Chinhoyi magistrate facing 11 counts of housebreaking and one count of robbery.
The two pleaded not guilty but were convicted by Provincial Magistrate Mr Farai Gwitima.
Prosecutor Mr Moris Mlilo said the pair committed the crimes between December last year and this month.
Sometime in December 2010 the pair went to Divide Farm and broke into the farmhouse.
They stole blankets, clothes, and an assortment of electrical gadgets all valued over US$1 000.
They broke into ten other houses and got away with blankets, clothes, radios and TV sets among other items. The two were also convicted of robbery.
They robbed a 60 year-old woman of a cellphone and an undisclosed amount of cash.
They will be sentenced today. – CR.
