He was the first Chambermate voted into the Main House by the housemates, but on Sunday night, 25 year old aspiring filmmaker Kgosi become the second housemate to be evicted after surviving 28 days in the Big Brother Mzansi house.
The live eviction show kicked off with Emmy Gee featuring DJ Dimplez and AB Crazy with their hit track “Rands and Nairas”.Then last week’s evictee Vanessa, glittering in gold, made her way onto the Secrets stage to chat to series host Lungile Radu about what she’s been up to since she left the house.

The radio sales executive got the chance to see just what housemates had said about her in the Diary Room since her eviction, and she also offered her insights into Lola’s request for a voluntary exit earlier in the week before she changed her mind and decided to stay on.

Commenting on the housemates, Vanessa confirmed that she missed Mandla, that she would always be friends with Mzamo, that Lola is a firecracker and that Sol played the game better than she did.

Lungile then began summarising the week that was with an insert that highlighted just how Kat and Mandla won individual immunity during an arena game last Monday, saving them from being nominated this past week.

The insert then screened Jase’s “save and replace” decision as head of house, reminding audiences that Jase had saved himself and put up Iris for nomination instead.

Lungile continued recapping the rest of the week that was, including the Channel O party last night as well as Jase’s head of house reward, a spa treatment for two which he shared with on and off love interest Kat. But this week’s head of house is Sol and given that he seems to also have a soft spot for Kat as well, as evidenced by their close interactions this past week, she might be back on the massage table next week as his spa buddy.

But with the clock ticking on the show DJ Dimplez was back with the track “They Wanna Know” featuring Redbutton and SFS before Lungile returned to the spotlight, ready to make the all-important eviction announcement.

After greeting housemates Lungile asked Lola how she was feeling about the game after her emotional week before checking in on Mandla, whose odd haircut during the week had not gone unnoticed. Lungile then instructed Jase to reveal his “save and replace” choice.

The guy from KZN, boasting another unusual hairdo, did so promptly as the tension in the house kept climbing as MK was told he was safe. Soon after, Lungile revealed that Poolie was also safe to the delight Ofa thrilled Loko, before confirming that Iris was safe too.

Then it was time, and with the vote verified by auditing firm SizweNtsalubaGobodo, it was Kgosi who was evicted and as the shocked housemates looked on, he was on his way out the door after numerous hugs and several tears from Jase. Arriving on stage with a bright blue jacket and his trademark glasses firmly in place Kgosi took the opportunity to tell Lungile what he felt about his Big Broter Mzansi Secrets experience. “I had a great journey, a lot of fun and I am glad to have been part of the show. It is a once in a lifetime experience,” said Kgosi.

With Kgosi now out of the house, there are 12 housemates left in the game. Lungile went on to remind the remaining housemates that on Thursday  morning they would have to make two nominations each, what he didn’t tell them, was that Biggie would reveal one of their nominations to the house. This is no doubt going to make for a very competitive immunity game tomorrow afternoon.

But just who will head of house Sol save? There’s only one way to find out. Make sure you tune in for Monday’s Nomination Show at 21:30pm on Mzansi Magic.
