MOTOR ACTION’S relegation troubles continued when they suffered another defeat, this time at the hands of How Mine in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Motor Action Sports Club yesterday. How Mine utilised their experience to beat a youthful Motor Action who had dominated the better part of the match.
The hosts started well in what promised to be a good day for them in the office but they were punished for their lapse in concentration when Qunani Sibanda struck for How Mine in the 53rd minute.
In what looked like an offside that left Motor Action center backs Douglas Walaza and Collen Kwaramba standing still Sibanda had sliced the ball past advancing Bernard Donovan in goals for Motor Action.
The match started on a high note with Motor Action showing their intentions of fighting to the bitter end as they dominated possession in the first half with Wisdom Mutasa testing Ephraim Mazarura in the fourth minute.
The Mighty Bulls also had a chance in the 39th minute when Walter Musona took time to shoot after he had broken loose on the left.
In the 44th minute Collen Dhuwa also came close for Motor Action who took control of the midfield in the last 20 minutes after veteran Mernard Mupera was withdrawn follwing a head injury and was replaced by Ocean Mpofu.
How Mine also had their fair share of chances with Simba Sithole wasting several chances which he could have easily converted into goals.
Mighty Bulls techncial manager David George said they were disappointed to come out empty handed.
“It is sad that we gave them (How Mine) the three points when we were the better team. We failed to utilise the chances that came our way and we were punished for that,” he said.
