HARARE City reclaimed top spot in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League after winning against Cranborne Bullets, while former leaders Black Rhinos were restricted to a nil-all draw by CCLee Mhangura at the week-end.

The “Sunshine Boys” managed to get the better of Cranborne Bullets 2-0, with recently appointed head coach Ikabort Masocha recording his second win.

Masocha has managed to maintain consistency at Harare City who are yet to register a defeat in 13 games.

The other games saw newly promoted Agama FC holding fourth-placed Herentals U-20 at Pfura on Saturday.

Agama have a single loss since they began their campaign, and coach Patson Muzavazi said they are in the league to compete, and it is through hard work that they are getting positive results.

“I think we have started the campaign well and as our first time in Division One, we are very happy. We have a team of seasoned and young players who have been doing well since the start of the campaign as we have recorded only a single loss.

“The boys have managed to get results against some teams who were regarded as favourites and this is motivating us to do more.

“We had an idea of avoiding fighting relegation in our first season but, we are now confident that we can be in the race if we continue to grind results. We are grateful to our sponsor Malvern Moyo who has been with us throughout.

“Getting a point against seasoned campaigners like Herentals is a positive but I am not happy as well that we let a soft goal for their equaliser,’ said Muzavazi.
