A WOMAN claims she has been forced to sleep on the passage of her house, for the last THREE YEARS, as punishment from her husband who accuses her of cheating on him with their pastor.
Memory Manyangadze said she has been barred from entering her bedroom by her husband Reginald Tuhwe.
She dragged Tuhwe to the Harare Civil Court where she was granted a protection order.
“Three years ago, he locked our bedroom and threw my belongings onto the passage, that’s where l have been sleeping for the past three years.
“He denied me access into our bedroom and each time I tried to enter he assaulted me.
“He accused me of cheating with our church pastor after he saw messages in my phone, which I feel is a fabrication,” said Memory.
Tuhwe did not deny the allegations but claimed his wife was having extra-marital affairs.
“I was suspecting my wife was cheating and I caught her exchanging sweet words with our pastor on her phone.
“She is a liar and a cheat,” said Tuhwe.
Magistrate Mandlenkosi Ndlovu ordered Tuhwe to return the tuckshop keys to his wife and allow her access into their bedroom.
However, he advised them to solve their marital issues amicably without insulting or assaulting each other.
