A 32-year-old jealous husband from Bindura has been sentenced to 12 months in prison after admitting to mutilating his wife’s genitalia with a razor blade during a domestic dispute sparked by allegations of infidelity.
The horrifying incident occurred on June 21, 2026 at a farm in Bindura.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), the man deceived his wife by pretending that he wanted to be intimate with her before suddenly turning violent.
“On June 21, 2026, at a farm in Bindura, the offender assaulted his 42-year-old wife following an argument over alleged infidelity,” the NPAZ said.
“The offender pretended to want to be intimate with the victim before grabbing her private parts and cutting them with a razor blade. After the attack, he handed the victim water to wash herself as she bled profusely.”
Appearing before the Bindura Magistrates’ Court, the man pleaded guilty to domestic violence.
He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, with six months suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour.

US$20 debt leads to near-fatal axe attack in Mzilikazi
A Bulawayo man is on the run after allegedly attacking his friend with an axe during a dispute over a US$20 debt.
Police have launched a manhunt for Nqobile Ndiweni, who reportedly assaulted Mlungisi Ndlovu (40) at the Manwele Market in Mzilikazi on July 1, 2026.
The outstanding debt dates back to August 2025, when Ndiweni borrowed Ndlovu’s cellphone and subsequently claimed it had been lost by his younger brother.
Ndiweni had promised to pay US$20 as compensation but failed to do so for nearly a year.
On the day of the attack, Ndlovu approached Ndiweni, asking for a dollar from the debt as he wanted to buy some groceries.
“I was not even demanding all the money; I just asked him to give me at least one dollar because I wanted to buy relish,” said Ndlovu.
However, his request did not go down well with Ndiweni, who initially threw his own phone at Ndlovu’s feet, telling him to take it instead of the cash.
However, Ndiweni later picked up his phone and walked away, only to return moments later armed with a small axe.
“He suddenly struck me twice on the forehead with the back of the axe before fleeing the scene,” narrated Ndlovu.
“I remember him coming back and after that, everything went dark. I woke up at Mpilo Central Hospital.”
Ndlovu sustained two deep lacerations to the left side of his forehead and remained hospitalised until July 4.
He claims to have been blindsided by the attack.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele confirmed the incident.

Psychotic robbers brutally attack Whitecliff family
Two pyschotic armed robbers ordered a 14-year-old boy to be intimate with his cousin at gunpoint in Whitecliff, Harare.
The robbers first took turns to rape two sisters, aged 15 and 28, and stole goods worth US$2 500.
The two then ransacked the house and stole a Samsung 43-inch TV, electric cables that were under the bed, a Huawei Y7 mobile phone, a Samsung cellphone, an Itel cellphone and various groceries.
Although the police could not be reached for comment, sources said the case was reported at ZRP (Zimbabwe Republic Police) Marimba under RRB (report received book) 6912680.
One of the victims said the armed robbers broke into their house at around 1am on a Monday.
“Our younger brother was sleeping in the kitchen when he was awakened by an unusual sound outside the house.
“He woke up and saw a man peeping through the window and he rushed to our room to alert us.
“We rushed to the kitchen to check what was going on and upon entering the kitchen, one of the robbers pushed the unlocked kitchen door and gained entry.
“The two demanded cash and took turns raping us without protection.
“After the act, one of the robbers pointed his pistol at our brother, forcing him to be intimate with one of us before they went away with property,” said one of the victims. — Harare Bureau

Bulawayo man jailed for three years after bloody attack
What started as a small argument over a jacket turned violent after a Bulawayo man stabbed a fellow villager twice.
The 25-year-old resident of Methodist village was sentenced by the Bulawayo Magistrates’ Court after being convicted of attempted murder.
The violent attack took place at Magumeni Shops on May 28, 2026.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, the dispute quickly escalated.
“The offender and the victim were involved in a misunderstanding over the offender’s jacket,” the NPAZ said.
“During the altercation, the offender produced a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim once in the back and once in the abdomen before fleeing the scene.”
The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital.
The assailant managed to escape but was later apprehended, prosecuted and ultimately convicted.
He was duly slapped with a three-year prison sentence.
In light of the incident, the NPAZ issued a stern warning to the public regarding the dangers of resorting to violence.
“The NPAZ urges members of the public to resolve disputes peacefully, avoid resorting to violence and seek third-party intervention to prevent unnecessary injuries and loss of life,” the authority said. — Bulawayo Bureau
