HOLY Ten is celebrating 100 days of being sober.
And, the rapper is reflecting on lessons he has learnt during a journey defined by discipline, family and personal growth.
He is celebrating “100 days of choosing life, choosing discipline, choosing my family and choosing the man I was always meant to become.”
He said the experience has taught him that some of life’s biggest victories happen away from public attention.
But, what this really mean and what does this bring?
Mental Clarity and Focus: This brings sharper concentration, better memory recall and steadier moods.
Physical Healing: Sleep patterns normalise, digestion and skin improve, and overall energy levels rise significantly.
An Emotional Baseline: While emotions can feel raw or loud early on, 100 days brings a working, sustainable relationship with his feelings where joy is sharper and stress is handled without a drink.
Confidence and Pride: A profound self-trust develops because he has faced 100 days of real life and won.
What does the immediate future look like?
A sober coach has some advice on what he should do to protect and enjoy his sobriety after he hit the 100-day milestone.
He should write down how he feels, the person he is becoming, the small (and big) wins he has accomplished in 100 days alcohol-free.
It’s important to continue to visualise what he wants out of a alcohol-free life and prepare for situations and triggers that might be challenging.
The “aftermath” problems caused by drinking must have largely disappeared and these include hangovers, feeling shaky, craving alcohol every evening, not remembering the end of some nights, thinking about drinking or not drinking or making rules about drinking all the time, waking up at 3am and not being present for the people in his life.
What should he expect from between three months and six months sober?
The coach recommends that he should be telling people that since he stopped drinking he is now able to accomplish a lot more with less effort and he now has less anxiety.
If they ask him if he is ever going to drink again, or if he’s doing this forever, or anything like that, he should just say “I don’t know but I’m excited about my new goal. Six months is all I’m thinking about right now”.
What is Holy Ten saying right now:
He is saying the experience has taught him that some of life’s biggest victories happen away from public attention.
“This journey has taught me that the greatest victory isn’t always the one the world applauds.
“Sometimes, it’s the quiet battles you win when nobody is watching.
“To the youth who look up to me, you don’t have to destroy yourself to enjoy your youth.
“You don’t need substances to be confident, creative or accepted.” For Holy Ten, the 100-day milestone is also connected to his family.
“To my family, thank you for being part of this journey,” he said.
“To everyone fighting a battle of their own, your life is worth fighting for,” Holy Ten said.
“And to my son, one day you’ll understand why Daddy was so happy blowing out those candles with you.”
The rapper’s message focused less on public recognition and more on the personal decisions that have helped him reach the 100-day mark.
His reflections offered fans a glimpse into his life beyond music and the entertainment spotlight. By speaking openly about sobriety, the artist also used his experience to encourage others who may be dealing with similar challenges.
“100 days down. A lifetime to go,” he said.
For him, the work continues long after the celebration.
