A 25-year old Kuwadzana woman struck her husband with a pot and killed him following a misunderstanding, the Harare Magistrates’ Courts heard yesterday.
Mitchele Chiteure, of Number 13503 Kuwadzana Extension, appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe charged with murder.
Mr Mahwe remanded Chiteure to April 8 on $100 bail.
As part of her bail conditions, Chiteure was ordered to reside at the given address and not to interfere with witnesses.
Prosecutor Mr Sebastian Mutizirwa alleged that on March 22 this year Chiteure had a misunderstanding with her husband.
The court heard that Chiteure asked for money to buy groceries from her husband, but he failed to provide the money and this irritated Chiteure.
It is alleged that she took a pot and struck her husband on the head once.
The husband was rushed to hospital where he died on admission.
