Sunday News Reporter

In a distressing turn of events, the family of Rememberance Mukwasani, a prominent private taxi owner from Hwange, Matabeleland North Province, has made a heartfelt appeal to the public for assistance in locating him after his sudden disappearance.

Mukwasani, aged 44, is married to Tsitsi Matsika and is the devoted father of three children.

He was reported missing by his family, sparking a desperate search for his whereabouts.

A close relative, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that Mukwasani primarily operated his taxi business using his trusty Nissan Sunny VIP vehicle, serving the town of Hwange and providing school runs within the community.

“He was well known in the town as he used his vehicle to ply various routes within the city, he would also pick school children before and after school in the area,” said the relative.

The missing man was formerly employed by the National Railways of Zimbabwe before venturing into entrepreneurship. However, it was his involvement with the opposition party and his vocal activism that often put him at odds with the authorities in the district.

“The issues he was passionate about, including organizing opposition party meetings and community gatherings, often landed him in trouble with the authorities,” the relative shared, shedding light on Mukwasani’s turbulent relationship with local law enforcement. “He had recently expressed fear for his safety after being informed that he was wanted for questioning.”

Despite exhaustive efforts to trace Mukwasani through police stations and hospitals, his family’s search has yielded no results so far.

“We are imploring anyone with information about Rememberance’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in finding him. His sudden disappearance has left us in a state of anguish and uncertainty,” the relative pleaded, urging the community to rally together in the search for Mukwasani.

As concern deepens over his mysterious disappearance, the appeal goes out to the public for any information that could help locate Rememberance Mukwasani and bring him back safely to his loved ones.
