ZESA Holdings has announced that Hwange Unit 6 has been restored to service and synchronised to the national grid.

In a statement, ZESA Holdings’ stakeholder relations department said the unit was now fully operational, contributing to improved generation capacity.

In a power outage update on Tuesday, ZETDC said it is working to ensure power is restored in the shortest possible time in the central business district following a cable fault.

The update indicated that Intermarket, Bryanston House, Herald House, Cabs Centre, Barclays First Street, Barbours, Pocket Building, Anchor House and surrounding areas have been affected by the cable fault.
