Two Harare companies have given a Buhera South hyena attack victim a bursary and uniforms for her to transfer from Muchuva Primary School in her home area to Waddilove Primary boarding school in Marondera.Nolia Musapukira’s sponsorship was facilitated by Buhera South legislator Cde Joseph Chinotimba (Zanu-PF).
Nolia was seriously injured when she was attacked by a marauding hyena last year. Cde Chinotimba revealed the sponsorship during a donation of school uniforms to the girl by Enbee in Harare yesterday.
“The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has assisted in securing the boarding place at the school and Snowflower (Pvt) Limited provided school fees for her primary level and Enbee is now providing her with school uniforms,” he said.
Cde Chinotimba said the assistance was genuine social responsibility which should be emulated by all.
“I am happy about what Government, Enbee and Snowflower have done in supporting and contributing towards her education and I hope other companies and organisations will do the same to assist the needy,” he said.
