‘I BELIEVE IN GIVING LOVE A CHANCE’. . . Lebo M reflects on another failed relationship with Mel

His romantic endeavours have a peculiar pattern — all a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows.

And true to form, another one bites the dust for Lebohang “Lebo M” Morake as his latest romance with Mel Ntsala has hit the rocks, just months after a lavish proposal.

Well-celebrated Lion King producer and composer Lebo M and Mel Ntsala’s relationship has come to an end, just three months after they rekindled their romance and got engaged in Dubai.

Morake broke the news of their proposal at the time through pictures, giving fans a glimpse of their extravagant Dubai yacht proposal.

“The day we stop believing in love and possibilities is when we stop dreaming. Very grateful to find my dream come true and begin this new chapter,” he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.

The engagement was the fourth time the two had tried to get back together.

Lebo revealed that the couple’s breakup is due to their relationship having “ongoing financial discrepancies and unexplained late-night absences.”

In a media statement confirming the breakup rumours, Lebo M says,

“I believed in giving love a chance, but after ongoing financial discrepancies and unexplained late-night absences, I had to put my peace of mind and dignity first,” he said.

This isn’t the first time they’ve parted ways; they were previously engaged in 2019 but ended their relationship in 2020 amid infidelity rumours.

Lebo then wed Pretty Samuels in February 2022, and the two divorced in a dramatic, public split last year. Additionally, he was formerly engaged to actress Zoe Mthiyane.

As if the end of his engagement wasn’t enough to dominate headlines, Lebo is also reportedly dealing with another significant professional fallout — his long-time associate, Sibu Mhlungu, amid allegations of financial misconduct involving a substantial amount of R10 million.

When questioned by the media on this, Lebo M referred to his spokesman, Simphiwe Majola, who said:

“Mr M’s lawyers and accountants are reviewing the matter thoroughly. At this stage, he is focused on his upcoming Durban show and continuing to deliver world-class productions to his audiences.’

“We will share further updates once all facts are established.” – (@News24).
